Jordan, an Arab nation on the east bank of the Jordan River, is defined by ancient monuments, nature reserves and seaside resorts. It’s home to the famed archaeological site of Petra, the Nabatean capital dating to around 300 B.C. Set in a narrow valley with tombs, temples and monuments carved into the surrounding pink sandstone cliffs, Petra earns its nickname, the “Rose City” and Jerusalem is an ancient city in West Asia, on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, and is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Jordan is a country with a rich history and diverse landscapes, offering a variety of attractions for visitors. Petra: One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Petra is an ancient city carved into rose-red cliffs. The most famous structure in Petra is Al-Khazneh (The Treasury), but the entire site is filled with archaeological wonders. Dead Sea: The Dead Sea, known for its extremely high salt concentration, allows visitors to effortlessly float on the surface of the water. The mineral-rich mud is also famous for its therapeutic properties. Amman: The capital city of Jordan, Amman, has a mix of modern and ancient attractions.
